Christmas Day is one of the greatest religious holidays for Christian, which is   government offices, organizations, businesses and schools are closed. It’s the great joyous occasion of the annual celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the founder of Christianity. It was on 25th of December that Lord Jesus was born at Bethlehem.

Christmas day is a special day in the Christian world, such as, United States,   United Kingdom, Austria, and Germany. It is celebrated throughout the Christian world with great enthusiasm. This day they go to the Church and offer special prayer, which is a day of merrymaking and joy. People decorate their homes and gardens with lights, Christmas trees and much more. It is common to organize a special meal, often consisting of traditional foods for family, such as, turkey, beef, ham, and mashed potatoes and gravy.  Children, in particular, they often think they will  receive a lot of gifts from Santa Claus, who is a legendary figure of Western Christian culture.  In fact, their parents will prepared the gift for the children, such as, doll, robot, and puppy,

Christmas has always been very much a time of family reunion. Today it is also a children’s festival because the children are given various presents and Santa Claus or Father Christmas visits as the friend of Children.

Floating markets are very popular with travelers in Thailand.  Amphawa is the one most popular floating market near Bangkok,which is famous floating market in Thailand and not yet overrun by tourists. There are also many local visitors.

Amphawa Floating Market is located on Amphawa District of Samut Songkhram Province. Amphawa Floating Market is an afternoon floating market on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, during 12:00 - 20:00 p.m. This market is the place selling foods (especially a lot of delicious seafood) and drinks, such as fried sea mussel, noodles, coffee, sweets, etc. And you will have to eat on small wooden tables in front of those boats.  At this place is surrounded by food stalls and souvenir stalls. In every weekend, you will meet many people walking and looking for what they want to buy. You can enjoy a cosy atmosphere and music broadcast by the community members, explore the market and local food.

You can easily walk around the market for 2 or 3 hours and see everything calmly. In addition to food, souvenirs, spices and clothes, there is a small temple in the surroundings which is a nice place to visit, too.
